ALVTechnologies Philippines Incorporated together with our manufacturer from Asylum Research Oxford Instruments, would like to invite you to join our webinar on the topic of Quantitativve Analysis of High-Speed AFM Movies: A Case Study of Chromatin on May 17, 2023 at 11:00 PM (Philippine Time).

High-speed atomic force microscopy is a powerful method for visualizing nanoscale dynamics in biomolecules and biomembranes. Asylum Research Product Scientist Sophia Hohlbauch will present a brief introduction to the technique and the Asylum Research Cypher VRS1250 video-rate AFM before introducing our guest speaker.

Dr. Daniël Melters will then share his group’s recent work using high-speed AFM to develop a single molecule tracking method to analyze thousands of nucleosomes. Single-molecule tracking has proven to be a powerful technique in studying biological processes. The trajectory of individual particles contains important information about their motions and dynamics, as well as the interactions between particles and their environment. Studying how individual nucleosomes, the building blocks of chromatin, behave is essential for understanding how gene transcription is regulated.
