In 1932, Irving Langmuir was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry “for his discoveries and investigations in surface chemistry”.

Still, 90 years later, researchers around the world utilize the theories Langmuir developed to make new discoveries.

Commemorating the 90th anniversary of the Langmuir Nobel Prize, Biolin Scientific brings the community together by hosting KSV NIMA User Day online.

KSV NIMA provides instruments and measurement solutions for the fabrication and characterization of advanced organized thin films with controlled packing density. The most common applications include depositing highly controlled nanoparticle coatings and studying biological lipid membranes.
