DMe-211

Simple Device

The DMe-211 is an economical yet fully-featured contact angle meter with a computer image analysis system.

The unit combines manual droplet volume regulation, and stage up/down motion for gentle deposition of droplets with “FAMAS-basic” software controlled analysis of static and dynamic contact angle (30fps) as well as surface and interfacial tension using the pendant drop method. Analysis software to determine the surface free energy of solids is a standard feature.

DMs-401

Basic Device

The DMs-401 is a compact yet high-performance surface measuring instrument for the measurement of static and dynamic contact angles, the surface free energy of solids, and surface and interfacial tension of liquids. Its functions can be easily extended due to its sophisticated modular design. Optional accessories, such as a computer-controlled dispenser, temperature control devices, and an external tilting stage system are available.

DMo Series

Versatile Devices

The four models of the DMo series are high-performance contact angle meters, only differing in their grade of automation. The high-speed camera and computer-controlled dispenser allow for precise measurements of static and dynamic contact angles, surface and interfacial tension of liquids, as well as analysis of surface free energy of solids. A wide range of options are available and lower grade models can also be upgraded later.

Each model combines the following features:

DMo-WA Series

Wafer and disc-shaped samples

The three models of the DMo-WA series are specially designed contact angle meters for measurements of disk-shaped substrates such as silicon wafers with a diameter of up to 300mm.

All models feature a 305mm diameter 360º rotation table and a computer-controlled dispenser which allow for automatic measurements of contact angle, advancing and receding angles, as well as analysis of surface free energy of solids.

Optional, a tilting stage for the measurement of roll-off angles is also available.

PCA-11

Portable Device

The portable contact angle meter PCA11 is a compact and lightweight device for fully automated on-site measurements of contact angle, surface tension, and surface free energy of solids.

Testing on-site for quality control and evaluation of surface wettability, which is characterized by the contact angle, is often required during manufacturing processes or in the field. The PCA-11 can be used on any material such as glass, metal, film, paper & pulp, polymer, wood, etc. that have to be measured on-site or that due to their size or shape cannot be analyzed with the usual stationary contact angle measuring instruments.

Weighing only 650g, combined with the single-click fully automated operation and its precise measurements, the PCA-11 is the ideal solution for non-destructive surface evaluations.

MCA-4

Microdroplets

The MCA-4 uses a precise electric micro-injector system and a high-quality optical system for accurate contact angle measurements of micro-droplets on small surface areas of only 100 x 100µm. With special capillaries available with three different inner diameters, micro-droplets in a range of about 10 to 1000pL can be produced with high reproducibility. This state-of-the-art system is equipped with an additional top-view camera that enables the deposition of droplets with pinpoint accuracy and the observation of the three-phase line and the spreading of micro-droplets on solid surfaces.

FPD-CP11

Large flat panels, wafer

The FPD-CP11 system consists of the main measuring head, a metering pump with a 50mL capacity liquid container, and a control box, and it has been developed for non-contact measurements of contact angles on flat panel displays such as LCD, LED, OLED, and silicon wafer. It has been designed to be attached to metrology systems that combine several different measuring devices in one system. The communication and data transmission between this host system and our FPD-CP11 is achieved via an RS-232C serial port connection.

The system is specially designed to observe droplets with a lateral image capturing system and the optical system is set at a slight angle, making it possible to measure contact angles without having contact with the panel’s delicate surfaces. Thanks to this lateral image capturing system, the FPD-CP11 is not limited to only 90º, such as top-view measuring systems, but instead, it delivers high-accuracy and reliable measurements in a range from about 3 to 175º.
