Disk sources are designed for use as reference sources.

Typical applications include: teaching, training, research, radiation protection, and up-and-coming technologies.

Radioactive material handling license issued by the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute is a requirement prior to the sale of all sources, even exempted quantity ones.

ALPHA DISK SOURCES

Alpha disk sources is designed for use as reference sources. The radioacitve material is chemically plated on to the surface of a silver disk that is mounted at the bottom of the well of a Plexiglas® disk. The completed sources are unsealed and offered in two sizes: 1.0” x 0.125” and 2.0” x 0.125”.

BETA/GAMMA DISK SOURCES

Beta/Gamma disk sources are designed for use as reference sources. Each source is constructed using a Plexiglas® disk and is offered in two sizes: 1.0” x 0.125” and 2.0” x 0.125”.

All beta/gamma disk sources have an uncertainty of ± 20% of the labeled activity  unless calibrated (± 5%) for an additional cost. Activities will not exceed the U.S. NRC Exempt Quantity limit.

RSS2 – GM RESOLVING TIME SOURCE SET

The RSS2 source set is used for determining the resolving time of GM counters. It consists of 3 half-disks: 2 contain Tl-204 and 1 is left blank (contains no material).

Each disk has an uncertainty of ± 20% of the labeled activity. Activities will not exceed the U.S. NRC Exempt Quantity limit.

Designed for gamma spectroscopy, the RSS8 contains eight different gamma emitting isotopes covering the entire energy range from 32 keV to 1333 keV.
